Katherine Hildebrandt was born in Royal Oak, Michigan. Motivated by her passion for art, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art, and graduated from Florida Southern College in 2008 with summa cum laude honors.

Katherine is a member of several international honor societies, most notably Phi Kappa Phi, Kappa Pi and Sigma Tau Delta.

She has participated in several group exhibitions and received awards and honors for her artwork. In 2007, she received the Florida Artist Award from the Maris Ozolins Memorial Art Fund; and in 2008, a Juror’s Choice Award for her Senior Thesis Exhibition. Katherine has published work in Cantilevers: Journal of the Arts as well as the BFA Senior Thesis Exhibition 2008 catalog.
